Free basic mailboxes included with domain and hosting packages (2 GB, no AI) let you get started for free. However, premium plans are the best option for professional use. A free mailbox can be sufficient for very small projects.

How can I migrate email addresses and their content to LWS?
If you already have emails with another provider, a domain, hosting or an LWS VPS, you can switch to a pro mail solution in a few clicks.
Once the premium plan is activated, quotas increase automatically without downtime or technical steps.
Our team can also transfer the content of your existing mailboxes on request.
How do I create a new professional email address?
- Register or transfer your domain to LWS.
- In your client area, create your mailbox based on your domain (e.g. [email protected]).
- Configure your mailbox using Roundcube or your preferred mail client (Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail…).
- Synchronize your devices if needed (smartphone, tablet, computer).
Then send a test email to verify receipt.
If you want to forward messages from an old address to the new one, you can do it easily from your interface.
Is a dedicated IPv4 address included?
No, a dedicated IPv4 is not included.
It can be added as an option (€9.99/month + €19.99 setup fee) and is recommended if you send large volumes of email.
This dedicated IP improves SMTP deliverability. It avoids blacklist risks caused by other users and lets you build your own sender reputation. Your emails will then be less likely to be marked as spam.
A reverse DNS for your IPv4 is created automatically upon activation.
What are SPF, DKIM and DMARC?
These are essential authentication protocols to secure your emails:
- SPF: verifies that authorized servers send emails for your domain.
- DKIM: adds a cryptographic signature that guarantees message integrity.
- DMARC: complements SPF and DKIM by instructing recipients how to handle failed authentications.
These standards protect your mailboxes from spam and impersonation and improve email deliverability.
Can I use a Gmail or Outlook address as a professional email?
You can use Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail or Google Workspace addresses. However, these services do not replace a true professional mailbox based on your own domain.
A free address (e.g. [email protected]) lacks credibility and does not reflect a company image.
By choosing an LWS pro address, you create a dedicated mailbox for your activity with better control, enhanced security and a strong professional identity. It can also be linked to your website domain.
You can continue to use an address with your preferred interface, but for professional use a custom address (e.g. [email protected]) is essential. LWS emails remain compatible with your existing mail software.
